MWH Global’s McAulay to leave US for executive roles at Pennon
FTSE 250-listed utility and waste management company Pennon yesterday announced that Ian McAulay has been appointed as an executive director of the group’s board and as chief executive of its subsidiary company Viridor.
McAulay, who is currently chief of global strategy and corporate development with US waste treatment company MWH Global, takes up his new roles next month, on 9 September.
He replaces waste management firm Viridor’s outgoing chief executive Colin Drummond, who announced his plans to retire back in March.
“I am delighted to welcome Ian to Pennon Group,” said chairman Ken Harvey.
“He brings with him extensive experience of developing and delivering large scale, capital intensive infrastructure projects in both regulated and unregulated businesses and management of major complex organisations, which I believe will prove invaluable to the company.”
