MPC minutes to be released as Tesco is set for annual report – London Report
THE BANK of England’s monetary policy committee (MPC) will publish the minutes of its last rate setting meeting on Wednesday.
The notes are expected to reveal officials’ thoughts on the strength of sterling and whether low inflation expectations will feed into the April wage negotiations.
Traders will also be keeping a close eye on the latest US data, especially the March figures on durable goods orders.
Tesco, on Wednesday, is among a slew of companies reporting this week.
On Monday, HSS Hire Group and North Midland Construction report.
Tuesday sees reports from Associated British Foods, Egdon Resources, Kcell Joint Stock, and Utilitywise, as well as Cdialogues and Toumaz. Apart from Tesco, Connect Group, Fenner and Punch Taverns report on Wednesday, as does Gaming Realms.
Air Partner and William Hill report on Thursday while Joint Stock Company Rosseti, AstraZeneca and Travis Perkins do the same on Friday. Record and Spectris will issue trading statements, too.
