Moyes delight at Mata debut
MANCHESTER United manager David Moyes hailed the debut performance of Juan Mata after last night’s 2-0 victory over Cardiff, but insists there is more to come from his record signing.
Mata, signed from Chelsea for £37m at the weekend, laid on the second goal for Ashley Young after the returning Robin van Persie opened the scoring after 11 games out with a thigh problem.
Moyes said: “I thought Juan played well. He made some terrific passes for us.
“He will grow and we will get used to him as well. Everybody knows what he is capable of and when we are in full flow and we are playing as well as we can, then he will be a big help to us.”
