More gold for Johnson-Thompson
ATHLETICS: Heptathlete Katarina Johnson-Thompson won her second gold medal of the British Indoor Championships in Sheffield yesterday. Having clinched gold in the high jump on Saturday with a new British record clearance of 1.96m, the 21-year-old followed up with a personal best leap of 6.75m to win the long jump. Olympic bronze medal winner Robbie Grabarz triumphed in the high jump, registering a 2.24m effort, while Luke Lennon-Ford and world indoor bronze medallist Andrew Osagie were forced to cut short celebrations after crossing the line first in their respective 400m and 800m races. Both were subsequently adjudged to have strayed outside of their lanes, handing victory to Nigel Levine and Mukhtar Mohammed.
