McIlroy knocks Donald off No1
ENGLAND’S Luke Donald slipped from the top of golf’s world rankings last night after he completed a disappointing weekend at the RBC Heritage Classic in South Carolina.
Donald needed to finish in the tournament’s top eight to prevent Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy deposing him for the second time in two months, but carded a level-par 71 to end up two over – 16 shots behind the eventual winner, Carl Pettersson of Sweden.
