May back to boost England ahead of meeting with the Auld Enemy

ENGLAND wing Jonny May last night handed head coach Stuart Lancaster a boost, when declared fit to take on Scotland on Saturday.
May was replaced in the early stages of last weekend’s Six Nations opening day defeat to France with a broken nose.
But the 23-year-old has been cleared for an immediate return to action as England look to get their campaign back on track at Murrayfield.
“Jonny May has been cleared to play in Saturday’s Calcutta Cup clash against Scotland,” an England statement confirmed.
“Following a scan review and a specialist assessment, which confirmed an undisplaced fracture of his nose, he will be available for selection.”
Lancaster retains hope his team can emulate Wales’ 2013 triumph and win the Six Nations, despite making a losing start to this year’s championship.
Wales were beaten at home by Ireland in the first game last year, but went on to win the crown for a second consecutive year with a final weekend win over England.
And Lancaster has reminded his players of how the tournament panned out 12 months ago.
“Wales lost in the first game last year and won the championship, don’t forget that. That’s what I told my players after the game,” he said.
“France will be a tough side to beat, but championships aren’t won in the first round.
“We were disappointed to lose and that’s probably a reflection of where we are in terms of our expectation.”
