Low red tape keeps UK open
RED TAPE and bureaucracy might regularly be attacked by businesses and politicians, but in international terms the UK is one of the most free and open economies in the developed world, according to new research from Maplecroft.
Among G8 countries, only Canada is more open to business, while Britain comes ahead of Germany and France, and is ranked ninth globally.
“The country remains an attractive destination for investment due to its open legal environment and intolerance for corruption,” said Maplecroft’s Mandy Kirby.
