The London Stock Exchange’s chief executive, Xavier Rolet, took some time out from his busy schedule organising a merger with Deutsche Boerse on Wednesday morning to entertain a Hollywood star.
Homeland star Damian Lewis opened the London Stock Exchange to mark the premiere of his new financial drama, Billions.
Lewis plays billionaire hedge fund kingpin Bobby ‘Axe’ Axelrod in the Sky series, airing from Thursday 12 May.
In the series, Axelrod is pursued by Chuck Rhoades, played by Paul Giamatti, a “tenacious, ferociously smart US attorney who tries to take [him] down”.

Zai Bennett, director of Sky Atlantic, said: “Billions is the ultimate Wall Street power battle. And just like Bobby, who loves getting what he wants when he wants it, Sky customers will be able to binge on Billions to their hearts’ content as we’ll be releasing the entire box set in one go.”
