Liverpool decline Toon Carroll bid
Newcastle United have had a loan bid for their former centre forward Andy Carroll turned down by Liverpool. The Magpies hoped to sign Carroll on a season-long loan with the option of a permanent transfer next summer, but will have to table an improved offer if they want to sign the England striker.
