Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri urges club’s star names to stay for another year and then go
Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri has urged members of his side’s fairytale Premier League title win to shun the attentions of potential suitors and instead focus on the club’s Champions League adventure.
The Foxes received the Premier League trophy following a 3-0 demolition of Everton on Saturday during a day of celebration at the King Power Stadium, which included a rendition of Nessun Dorma by Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli.
Amid the title party, Ranieri had a serious message. “If they are intelligent, they stay with us another year,” said the Italian. “They know the Champions League is very difficult. Then after this experience they can go. If they ask me something, I say ‘stay with me’.”
