Juventus director: Arsenal told us to forget about signing Alexis Sanchez
Arsenal will rebuff any offer for star forward Alexis Sanchez this summer, according to Juventus director Giuseppe Marotta who was unsuccessful in his pursuit of the Chilean.
With Juventus potentially losing one or both of star players Alvaro Morata and Paul Pogba this summer, the Italian champions had turned their attention to 27-year-old Sanchez as a potential replacement.
It had been reported that Arsenal had turned down a £30m bid from the Turin club for the 27-year-old who has scored 29 goals in two seasons in North London and recently inspired Chile to a second successive Copa America title.

But according to Marotta, Arsenal have ruled out selling Sanchez after apparently being willing to listen to offers earlier this summer.
"Arsenal told us Alexis Sanchez is not on the market", said Marotta.
"Sanchez is a great player, but Arsenal told us he is not on the market. We had asked for the player's price-tag and Arsenal valued him at €40m (£34.1m), a sum that we considered reasonable."
"However, once we replied to their demand, the English club let us know that he was not for sale."
