International Power revenues grow on emerging markets
INTERNATIONAL Power yesterday said sales in the three months to the end of March rose five per cent helped by a strong performance in emerging markets, putting it on track for further growth this year.
Sales for the quarter to 31 March rose to €4.3bn (€3.5bn) the company said. A slight drop in North America, Australia and UK-Europe sales during the quarter was offset by a 16 per cent rise in Latin America and a 22 per cent surge in Asia.
Earlier this week the company confirmed that it had agreed to sell GDF Suez the 30 per cent of the company that it does not already own for £6.4bn.
