Huntingdon and Warwick racing betting: Ubak ready for novices’ chase
HUNTINGDON stages a fair card on Friday afternoon where the highlight is the Chatteris Fen Juvenile Hurdle.
Sceau Royal is going to be very hard to beat, but will be priced accordingly, so I’ll focus on the novices’ limited handicap chase instead (3.20pm).
This is a competitive little field, with the likes of Three Faces West and L’unique, but I was very taken with UBAK on his chasing debut at Newbury in November.
He’d been off the track for a long time and was running really well up until a couple of mistakes in the home straight.
This is a far easier race and I expect him to land this prize before moving on to bigger and better things.
Going back to Warwick on Saturday and BLACK HERCULES is a very interesting entry in the Hampton Novices’ Chase (1.50pm).
Willie Mullins has an embarrassment of riches at his disposal in the novice chase division and this one could turn out to be his National Hunt Chase horse.
Although disappointing in last year’s Albert Bartlett, he was sent off just 5/2 and was very impressive on his chasing debut. He should have too much for his opponents.
Dan Skelton loves nothing more than a winner at his local track.
He’s trying to win the Neptune trial (3.00pm) for the second year running and BORN SURVIVOR can hand him the prize again.
The son of King’s Theatre was impressive over course and distance last month and he could turn out to be top class.
