Heineken triumph will herald a Leinster dynasty, says O’Driscoll
LEINSTER star Brian O’Driscoll insists they will not rest on their laurels despite setting a host of records in Saturday’s Heineken Cup triumph over Ulster.
The 42-14 win was the biggest margin ever achieved in the final and their five tries constituted a new best as they became the first team to lift the trophy three times in four years.
Leinster could yet secure a double, if they beat the Ospreys in Sunday’s Pro12 final, and O’Driscoll believes the Irish province is only just beginning an era of dominance.
“After we won the first we talked about not being content with that,” said the former British and Irish Lions captain. “We’re now trying to create some kind of dynasty and something to be remembered. We’re going in the right direction towards doing that. I know this team, they’ll be hungry for more.”
