HEATHROW has confirmed the sale of the three other airports it currently owns in a deal worth over £1bn, as it sets its sights on winning a significant runway expansion.
Heathrow’s parent company, Heathrow Airport Holdings, currently owns Aberdeen, Glasgow and Southampton airports, as well as the west London hub. It has confirmed it will sell off the smaller sites to Spanish-Australian consortium Ferrovial Macquarie for £1.048bn.
