Greta Thunberg pokes fun at trolls over ‘helpline’
Teenage climate change activist Greta Thunberg has hit back trolls criticising her campaign by sharing a video of angry callers phoning a Greta Thunberg Helpline.
The 16-year-old shared a comedy video by Australian comedian Mark Humphries that pokes fun at “adults angry with a child”.

Sharing the video on Twitter, Thunberg wrote “Hang in there! Help is available”.
The activist, who launched the school strike for climate campaign, has become a target of criticism and abuse online.
President Donald Trump shared a video of the teenager speaking at the UN Climate Action Summit alongside a seemingly sarcastic comment.
Trump said: “She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!.”
In response Thunberg changed her Twitter bio to: “A very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future”.
During her speech at the UN Thunberg said: “People are suffering, people are dying, entire ecosystems are collapsing. We are in the beginning of a mass extinction and all you can talk about is money and fairytales of eternal economic growth.”

Thunberg shot to fame after she started striking from school to protest against climate policy in front of Swedish parliament last year.
Trump’s tweet was not the first time the teenager has been subjected to negative posts on social media by prominent figures. Earlier this year, as she was preparing to travel to New York by yacht, businessman and Brexit donor Aaron Banks joked that “freak yachting accidents do happen in August.”
