Grainger hires ex-Segro boss as chairman
BRITAIN’S largest residential landlord Grainger said yesterday it has lined up the former chief executive of Segro Ian Coull to become chairman.
Coull, 64, will join the board as a non-executive director on 23 September and will be put forward as chairman at the annual general meeting in February next year.
Robin Broadhurst will step down as chairman at that time after a decade with the company, said Coull was “ well known and liked” within the property industry and brought considerable UK and international experience to the firm.
“His leadership style will be a great asset to Grainger and help take forward the company’s strategy in the next stage of its growth,” he said.
Coull, who left industrial property group Segro in 2011, is also chairman of Galliford Try and part of the government’s property advisory panel.
