Fury laughs off Chisora’s chance in rematch
BRITISH heavyweight Tyson Fury believes Dereck Chisora’s career is in decline and expects to win their world title eliminator in July for the right to meet champion Wladimir Klitschko.
Fury beat Chisora on points when they fought in 2011 and the pair are set to renew hostilities in Manchester on 26 July for the right to contest for the IBF, WBA and WBO belts.
And 6ft 9in Fury has vowed to extend his 22-fight winning streak with a bruising victory against the former British champion.
“It will be good to make mincemeat of Chisora in front of my own people in Manchester,” he said.
“The Chisora I faced first time was a much better opponent than he is now.
“I’d say I’m four times a harder puncher than Dereck will ever learn to be with his inside-the-gloves cuffs and swings that miss over your head.
“His resistance has been worn down and there’s mileage on the clock. If you have a car with 120,000 miles you’re asking for it to blow up when you keep driving it down the motorway.”
Chisora, 30, lost three of the four fights that followed his defeat to Fury at Wembley Arena, including defeat in Germany to Klitschko’s older brother Vitali.
However, he has won all five bouts in the last 11 months and has warned Fury to expect a far sterner test this time around.
“I’ve achieved so much since he beat me, while he hasn’t progressed at all. He’s four steps behind me now,” said Chisora.
“On my bad day he couldn’t knock me out, so imagine what will happen when I’m fit.
“I know he’ll be mentally ready, but I know I have much more power than him. I’m looking for the knockout.”
