Fulham turn to transfer market
FULHAM boss Rene Meulensteen is bracing himself for a “hectic” end to the transfer window, after his side’s 2-0 defeat at Swansea last night did little to boost their relegation fears.
Midfielder Adel Taarabt was left out of the 18-man squad amid interest from AC Milan. His team-mates held firm until the 61st minute when Jonjo Shelvey’s deflected effort opened the scoring, before Chico Flores completed the victory on 75 minutes.
Fulham are just one place and one point clear of the relegation zone and Meulensteen is looking to shake up his squad.
He said: It’s the last few days of the window, it will be very hectic. “There has been some interest [in Taarabt] that is all I know so far.”
