Frankie’s thoughts
I START off at Haydock tomorrow for the Betfred Sprint Cup and then fly off to Leopardstown with William Buick to ride Snow Fairy in the Red Mills Irish Champion Stakes.
My Haydock mount Soul needs a bit of cut in the ground which I don’t think we are going to get. Even though he was below-par at Newbury last time and is better judged on his fourth to Black Caviar at Royal Ascot, I think we all have Australian raider Ortensia to beat on the back of impressive wins at Goodwood and York. A place at best is all I can hope for.
As for Snow Fairy, she felt great when I sat on her two days ago and is ready to take on Nathaniel. Last year we were only just beaten by So You Think which surprised many people. However, she went on to show in the Arc and with wins in Japan and Deauville that that run was no fluke.
