Football betting tips: Leicester to come unstuck against Liverpool at Anfield
LEICESTER only lost three times on their march to the title last season. On Saturday they return to the scene of one of those defeats – Anfield – and I think they will leave Merseyside empty-handed again.
This view is backed up by the bookies. The Foxes are a best-priced 19/4 with Betway, who offer the draw at 16/5. Claudio Ranieri’s men have had a mixed start as champions, with a defeat, draw and win from their opening three games.
While Liverpool have made an identical start, if Jurgen Klopp’s side click, they have got the beating of anyone.
Stadium rebuilding works mean this is their first home game of the campaign, so they will be keen to put on a show, with the new main stand at one of football’s most historic arenas set to be unveiled.
I fancy them to do just that and am backing Klopp’s team at 4/7 with Betway.
Sadio Mane has injected further pace and excitement to a pool of attacking talent already boasting dangerous Brazilian duo Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi.

Whoever is selected can cause all sorts of problems in front of a strong midfield likely to contain James Milner, Adam Lallana, Jordan Henderson and Georgino Wijnaldum.
However, Klopp undoubtedly has issues further back that need to be resolved. The Reds have conceded in each league game, and six times in total, so the hosts will need to take the game to Leicester.
Hopefully for the neutrals tuning in to the early evening kick-off, that could be a recipe for goals.
Liverpool put five past Burton Albion in the newly-branded EFL Cup, meaning their four games have averaged four goals each. If that trend continues, a buy of total goals at 2.95 with Sporting Index will pay off.
