LAST-MINUTE BURNS NIGHT
Dust down your kilts: even if you haven’t booked a Burns Supper for tonight, there are still possibilities. Gordon Ramsay’s Limehouse pub, the Narrow (www.gordon ramsay.com), is having its own tartan knees up, with West End theatre actor Cameron Jack reading the poetry while fine whiskies are served with broth, mutton and haggis. Three courses £22. Meanwhile, Boisdale of Bishopsgate (www. boisdale.co.uk) is continuing the festivities until Thursday, with a piper in full Highland regalia. It has two set menus, at £39.50 and £59.50 respectively. Across the water, the Blueprint Cafe (www.danddlondon.com) above the Design Museum is also running a special Burns menus (smoked haddock broth, haggis and clapshot, onglet with potato cake and pickled walnuts) right the way until Sunday. The menu is £29.95 per person.
