MONTHLY ART AT SUDA THAI
Covent Garden’s Suda Thai restaurant (pictured left) is hosting monthly art installations to showcase work from up-and-coming artists. Kicking off is industrial designer Kijtanes Kajornrattanadech, whose Trace of Shadow collection is on display now. Following on in January will be a selection of works from award-winning photographer and columnist Oat Chaiyasith, official photographer to the Thai royal family, who will exhibit his 365 Faces project. www.suda-thai.com
DEL AZIZ OPENS IN CLAPHAM
This Middle Eastern-inspired chain – known for its pastries and meringues the size of the average human head – is a trusty favourite for families and coffee-addicts with laptops. This one has a deli-café, gift shop, restaurant and two bars. Food ranges from Berber pancakes to fresh juices and full English breakfasts. Cocktail genius Joe McCanta has developed a soft drink brand, using his expertise in flavour matching to blend fresh purees, juices, botanicals, herbs, spices and soft spring water.
