Finsbury spins another healthy profits increase
CADBURY’S financial public relations adviser Finsbury has increased profits despite the downturn in the economy, according to documents filed at Companies House.
Profits have reached £8.8m against £8.75m last year and founder Roland Rudd has seen his pay package reach £2.9m against £2.25m the year before. Rudd, a former financial journalist with the Financial Times, the Times and the now defunct Sunday Correspondent, founded the firm with initial accounts from Merrill Lynch and Williams Holdings. It has since been sold to advertising giant WPP.
Finsbury vies with Alan Parker’s Brunswick as the most influential City PR firm. Its clients include J Sainsbury, Boots, Aviva, DMGT, Vodafone, Sky and Standard Chartered.
Rudd is also founding chairman of Business for New Europe, a pro-Europe lobbying group.
