Fifa election 2016 result: Sheikh Salman and Gianni Infantino neck and neck as voting goes to second round
The Fifa presidential election has progressed to a second round ballot after no candidate won an overall majority from the 207 voting member associations.
Uefa secretary general Gianni Infantino held a narrow lead in the first round with 88 votes to Sheikh Salman of Bahrain's 85.
Prince Ali, who unsuccessfully stood against Sepp Blatter last May, is considered the candidate most committed to radical reform of Fifa but he received just 13 per cent of the vote while Jerome Champagne was picked by just seven countries.

South African anti-apartheid campaigner Tokyo Sexwale dropped out of the race shortly before voting got underway.
As no candidate won a two-thirds majority of the vote, all can progress to the second round where a simple majority is required.

All eyes will be on Gianni Infantino and Prince Ali who could act as kingmakers by dropping out of the race and and diverting their votes elsewhere.
