FIA slams teams’ bid for power
FORMULA ONE: Governing body the FIA yesterday blasted teams’ association FOTA, accusing it of trying to wrestle control of the sport.
The future of F1 is under threat amid a long-running row between the two parties over cost-cutting measures.
The FIA said: “FOTA has set itself two clear objectives: to take over the regulation of Formula One from the FIA and to expropriate the commercial rights for itself. These are not objectives which the FIA can accept.”
