Fall in homes with no jobs
THE NUMBER of households where nobody works dived by 137,000 in the year to the final quarter of 2013, official figures showed yesterday.
The 3.8 per cent drop takes the total to 3.39m, well below the pre-crisis level of 3.48m at the end of 2006.
And the number of households where nobody has ever worked fell one per cent to 303,000 – also below the 2006 level of 309,000.
