Is Facebook looking to join the music streaming party?
The company has been in talks with Sony Music, Warner and Universal to discuss a serious foray into music, but exactly what form it will take remains unclear.

According to the Verge, Facebook is yet to decide what form a potential music service would take, but the most likely is streaming. The talks are apparently in the early stages.
Facebook had an average of 936m daily users during March this year (1.25bn during the month), the latest month for which there is data. Of the daily users, 798m visited Facebook on mobile, showing the huge potential audience.
Facebook has already added listen buttons to artists’ pages and brought video to its platform, and in many ways its own music service is the natural next step.
Among the giants of the tech world, Facebook is unique in not offering a music service. Apple music means the company joins Microsoft, Google, and Amazon in having a service. Facebook will be keen not to get left behind.
