Fabregas won’t ask for Barca transfer
ARSENAL captain Cesc Fabregas appeared to offer the club’s fans hope he might resist the overtures of Barcelona again this summer by claiming he “owes himself” to the Gunners.
The reigning Spanish and European champions have failed to force Arsenal’s hand in each of the previous two summer transfer windows and are thought to be readying a third attempt to re-sign a player who slipped through their fingers eight years ago.
But the 24-year-old insists no decision has been made on his future and said: “I owe myself to Arsenal. I have not spoken to the manager, he takes decisions.
“I am very happy at Arsenal. I am not going to talk about any team. I have values and after all that I have done in eight years I am not going to say a word that would ruin it all.”
