It wouldn't be Easter without Londoners sharing their troubles from the capital's transport hubs.
And this weekend has proved no exception so far, with travellers complaining of "total chaos" at St Pancras, “horrific” scenes at Euston and “hell” at Paddington.
The government warned yesterday that delays would be added to because of enhanced security checks in the wake of the Brussels attacks.
Downing Street said there would be an increased police presence at ports, airports, underground stations and international railway stations, as well as enhanced border checks.
A spokesman said: "As a result, travellers over the Easter weekend may experience some limited delays to their journey and should check the advice of travel companies before starting their journeys."
Passengers travelling on the Eurostar from London's St Pancras station appeared to be among the worst affected today, with several venting their fury on social media.
Meanwhile, the Gatwick Express – running between Victoria station and the airport south of London – has been closed for the weekend.
And last night passengers spoke of scenes from "hell" in major London train stations.
Londoners' travel was further complicated by a strike yesterday meaning there was no service on the Piccadilly Line.
In addition, TomTom Traffic reported heavy congestion on London's roads, with 1,959 "separate congestion hotspots" recorded just before 6pm yesterday.

UPDATE: St Pancras is extremely busy & we're working to ensure all who are booked to travel do so. No further cancellations anticipated.

The situation at St Pancras is crazy with a canceled train to Paris, thousand people waiting and angry guys because the boarding takes time.
