Dyke: FA cannot sack Scudamore
SACKING Premier League chief Richard Scudamore is not a job of the Football Association, chairman Greg Dyke has reiterated.
Scudamore, 54, was forced to apologise following the publication of sexist emails sent from a personal account and escaped the sack this week following a meeting with 17 Premier League clubs.
Dyke condemned what was written by Scudamore, but said he received reassurances from acting Premier League chairman Peter McCormick into how the investigation was handled.
Dyke said: “We were of the view that was a matter for the Premier League. He [McCormick] assured me they had followed proper process under their own employment and disciplinary rules.”
