Domino’s Pizza appoints Sean Wilkins as chief financial officer designate
Domino's Pizza has appointed Sean Wilkins as chief financial officer (CFO) designate. Mr Wilkins will assume his responsibilities as CFO from 18 November, taking over from Lee Ginsberg after his retirement at Domino's annual general meeting in 2014. Mr Wilkins is an international finance director and recently held the position of general manager of Coles Group PTV limited in Australia.
Lance Batchelor, chief executive, commented:
I am delighted to welcome Sean to the CFO designate role and look forward to working with him to drive the Domino's business forward across our markets. The UK and Irish businesses have so much growth ahead and with the added opportunities in Germany and Switzerland it is very exciting to have hired such a high quality CFO designate to the board.
The company also announced it is appointing David Wild, who has previously held positions at Halfords and Walmart, as a non-executive director. The appointments come just over a month after the restaurant chain posted a rise in the third quarter underlying sales, with like-for-like sales in the UK rising four per cent in the 13 weeks to 29 September. Dominos has benefitted from a growth in digital sales which now account for 62.4 per cent of UK delivered sales, and is hoping to launch 50 new stores in the UK by the end of the year.
