Cockerill plays it cool against in-form Bath
LEICESTER head coach Richard Cockerill admits his table-topping Tigers can expect a tough battle with in-form Bath when the two giants of English rugby lock horns in Sunday’s Guinness Premiership semi-final.
The Tigers go into the game on the back of losing their unbeaten home record to Saracens, and know they will have to be on their game to stop Bath, who with four straight wins, are the form side of the Premiership.
“Bath are a good side,” Cockerill said. “They’ve had some good results recently and some key men back in the team. But we’ve been on a good run too since we lost at Northampton and we look forward to it.”
Bath climbed into the top four with a late surge, but remain the rank outsiders to lift a first Premiership trophy in 14 years.
