I think the process of buying a book from a shop will become a rarity. You can have thousands of books at your fingertips these days on a kindle or an iPad. Actually I’m thinking about getting one just now.

People will certainly continue to buy books in the traditional way. I think that the electronic book market will develop alongside. There will always be a demand for copies of books to have them signed.

Book retailers may be affected by things like Kindle in the short term but they will never be completely
redundant. People will still like to snuggle up on the couch with a good book. I can’t imagine parents reading to their children from a computer screen.
