CITY VIEWS: HOW DID THE SNOW AFFECT CITY WORKERS YESTERDAY?
DAVID WEATHERLEY | SMBC GROUP
“About half of my office are working from home today. The company is well set up for it after the swine flu scare so we can stay productive even if a lot of people get stranded and can’t make it in. It isn’t anything to get worked up about – if the weather is bad, just deal with it.”
LEAH GREGORY | LAH PROPERTY MARKETING
“The office is a ghost town today – loads of our people live outside of London so getting in was a real nightmare for them. I came in on the Northern Line and the High Barnet branch was closed so we were packed in like sardines – I watched four trains go by before I could get on one.”
JOANNA GOSPAGE | DRON & WRIGHT
“I walk to work so I was quite lucky with transport. It was very snowy this morning but not unpleasant. Everyone who lives outside of the City has had to work from home but I’m not jealous, I’d hate to be snowed in. I’m catching a flight next week so I just hope it all melts so we can get back to normal.”
