I am personally not worried about the UK’s downgrade as I don’t think it really affects me. I would be more concerned if my company’s credit rating was downgraded.

It was only a matter of time, but I’m not too worried. When America’s credit rating was downgraded, the market reaction wasn’t as bad as we expected. The FTSE has not suffered today following the announcement and the pound was already weakening.

It was to be expected and is clearly an indication of these uncertain times. Now we must look to the government and the Bank of England to get us out of this mess and steer us towards recovery.
