I wouldn’t say I was worried that the Eurozone crisis has reached a new phase. It is inevitable that the changes in Greece and France this weekend have injected more uncertainty. But this has also stemmed from the UK falling into a second recession. Lending is still an issue across all markets.

I guess we are waiting now to see what happens. My main concern is what consequences a change in the relationship between France and Germany will have on the economy, and also where the UK will stand. We are back in a situation where we are going to have to be very cautious.

This weekend’s Greek elections throw open a new phase in the Eurozone crisis, but I don’t think the economic situation is more uncertain than before. If the Greeks decide to leave the euro it would create a huge amount of uncertainty. However, France and Germany will make sure this doesn’t happen.
