Universal Music
Max Hole has been promoted to the position of chief operating officer at Universal Music Group International (UMGI).
Hole, who will take up his new role on 1 July, is currently executive vice president of UMGI and president of the group’s Asia Pacific operations.
He joined the firm in 1998 from Warner Music UK, originally as a senior vice president in the marketing division.
Axa Real Estate
The real estate investment management firm has appointed Anne Kavanagh as the new global head of its property services group.
Kavanagh, who starts her new role on 1 May, was previously managing director of real estate at Lazard in London. She has also worked as head of European real estate at Cambridge Place Investment Management and as a director at Jones Lang LaSalle.
Olivetree Securities
The equities broker has appointed Steve Wood as a non-executive director to its board.
Wood was until recently global head of trading at Schroders Investment Management, which he joined in 2002 after a 28-year career at JP Morgan.
In addition to his role at Schroders, he has also been chairman of the Investment Managers Association trading committee and chair of the NYSE/Euronext European institutional advisory committee.
Impax Asset Management
The environment-focused investment manager has hired Dean Palin as head of trading.
Palin brings with him over 10 years of trading experience, having formerly worked in foreign exchange at Westpac Institutional Bank, Barclays and Fidelity Investments, as well as in the fixed income team at Lehman Brothers.
Also joining the firm is Natalie Over, previously an investor relations executive at Osmosis Investments.
Future Capital Partners
Esther Lewis has joined the alternative investment boutique as business development manager.
Lewis joins from Unicorn Investments, where she was manager of business development, responsible for client relationships and business development for the Unicorn in the UK, Netherlands, Spain and Gibraltar.
She also previously worked as an accountant in the banking and capital markets division of accountancy firm PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Speechly Bircham
The law firm has appointed Jane Wolstenholme as a partner in its pensions practice. Wolstenholme has been a partner at Wedlake Bell for the past six years. Prior to that, she was at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
