Henderson New Star
Asset manager Henderson Global Investors has appointed Mark Carpenter, a director in its property division, as head of its Henderson New Star property funds, replacing Roger Dossett. Dossett, who was head of New Star’s property team before Henderson took over New Star in April, will leave Henderson later this year to pursue his own property interests, the asset management company said in a statement.
Jefferies International
The UK subsidiary of investment bank Jefferies Group has appointed Bernal Vargas as managing director and head of US equity sales into Europe and Cameron Kissel as senior vice-president of US equity sales into Europe. Owen Jacob was named as senior vice-president and European cash equities trader, James Grzinic as a senior vice-president and head of European Retail Equity Research, and Charlotte Andrews as a vice-president and marketing analyst.
Chuo Mitsui Trust International
CMTI, the global arm of Chuo Mitsui Asset Trust and Banking, Japan’s second largest trust bank, has appointed Makoto Nakamura as managing director of its London office. Nakamura will oversee Chuo Mitsui’s international strategy.

The investment consulting firm has placed Sarah Green on its Implementation team as a consultant based in the Reigate office. She joins from Paternoster.
JP Morgan
US banking giant JP Morgan has hired Chan Bhima, previously at Merrill Lynch, to run its global coal business and its gas, power and environmental markets trading in London.
