SRL Global
The technology investment platform has made a new appointment by hiring Robin Ellison as a new member of its executive advisory board. In this role, he will primarily focus on strengthening SRL Global’s position in the pension fund market. Ellison previously served as chairman of The National Association of Pensions Funds (NAPF). In his work at SRL, he will be spreading use of the firm’s investment aggregation platform, Nexus Enterprise Solution, which enhances the efficiency of asset management.
Jefferies
The investment banking group has appointed Steffen Doyle as managing director and European head of lodging and gaming investment banking. Based in Jefferies’ London offices, he will focus primarily on the company’s European REGAL franchise as well as its American counterpart US REGAL. Doyle previously served as head of European lodging and gaming investment banking at Bank of America/Merrill Lynch.
TUI Travel
The leisure travel group has announced the appointment of Minnow Powell as non-executive director of the board and chairman of the audit committee. With more than 34 years of experience in international accounting and consulting, Powell recently served as senior audit partner with Deloitte where he was responsible for a number of the firm’s major multinational audit clients.
Mazars
The international accountancy firm has appointed James Gilbey as its new director. He will focus on strengthening the litigation support and expert witness practice within Mazars’ forensic and investigation service team. Gilbey brings experience in dealing with an extensive portfolio on fraud and regulatory investigations on behalf of the Financial Services Authority. He has also given evidence in both international arbitrations and High Court disputes.
Oasis
Aurora Fashions, the group that owns numerous high street clothing brands such as Coast, Karen Millen, Oasis and Warehouse, has announced the appointment of Barbara Horspool as design director at Oasis. She comes to the firm with extensive fashion experience and previously served as head of design for Womenswear at M&S.
Aurora has also named Andy Griffiths as brand communication director for its Oasis stores. He previously led Diesel’s divisional communication.
