CITY MOVES WHO’S SWITCHING JOBS
Aviva Investors
The investment group has appointed John Wood as a UK equities fund manager.
Wood will be responsible for running the Aviva Investors UK Growth Fund and will join in October from Artemis Asset Management, where he was a senior fund manager for the UK and Europe. Prior to that, he was head of UK equities at Deutsche Asset Management.
Jefferies
The investment bank has appointed Jon Pliner as a managing director and head of European credit sales and trading, based in London.
Pliner will be responsible for managing the firm’s European credit trading platform, which includes the sales and trading of investment grade and high yield bonds and loans.
He joins from Merrill Lynch, where he spent 15 years within the credit trading group, including a position as head of flow credit trading.
Ernst & Young
The accountancy firm has appointed Dale Nijoka, a 28 year veteran of the firm, to lead its oil and gas practice.
Nijoka has particular experience in advising on M&A accounting, SEC reporting matters, debt restructuring and coordinating audit functions, and is the global coordinating partner for energy giant ConocoPhillips.
Barclays UK Pension Fund
The pension fund has appointed Andre Konstantinow as head of manager selection.
Konstantinow joins from Morgan Stanley Investment Management, where he was a senior investment manager responsible for European and emerging markets hedge funds.
