Nomura
The Japanese investment bank has appointed Mikael Dahl as co-head of its Nordic investment banking team, based in London.
Dahl was previously a partner at EQT Partners and brings with him over 20 years of investment banking experience. He previously worked at Citigroup/Salomon Brothers from 1994 to 2008, latterly as European co-head of the financial entrepreneurs group, responsible for coverage of private equity funds.
Edison Investment Research
The research provider has hired Dan Ridsdale from Singer Capital Markets as a technology analyst.
Ridsdale has over 16 years of experience in the sector, having previously held sell side analyst positions at Teather & Greenwood, Bridgewell and Nomura.
Barclays Corporate
The bank has appointed Mike Delay as a relationship director in its corporate banking arm, focusing on the hospitality and leisure sectors.
Delay spent the past three years in the leisure team at the UK corporate banking arm of Royal Bank of Scotland, having already worked in the global banking and markets division.
Olivetree Securities
The UK-based equities broker has taken on Timothy Daniels and Siobhan McGeever as executives.
Daniels will work in the sector strategy group, focusing on technology, media and telecoms (TMT). He joins from broker Panmure Gordon, where he was director of equity sales, and was also previously director of principal trading at Citigroup.
McGeever joins from Knight Capital Europe, where she was a sales trader for European and US cash equities, and will join the distribution group at Olivetree.
Norton Rose
Anthony Hobley, global head of climate change and carbon finance at the law firm, is relocating from London to Sydney to boost its climate change team in the Asia-Pacific region.
Hobley has been heavily involved in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change process and played a key negotiating role at the Copenhagen talks.
London partner Andrew Hedges will lead the practice across Europe.

The pensions risk management adviser has appointed Dean Newman as an IT director and Nick Francis and Matthew Seymour as directors of product development.
Newman previously led infrastructure projects for companies such as Barclays and Alliance Boots, while Francis ran IT consultancy Sentient and Seymour was chief technology officer at FundWorks.
