Threadneedle
The asset management firm has hired George Gosden to join its Asian equities desk.
Gosden spent the past eight years as a director at Insight Investment, where he was part of the international team. Prior to that, he was a director of Asian equities at Clerical Medical Investment Management.
In his new role, he will be deputy head of the Asia ex-Japan team at Threadneedle, reporting to head of Asian equities Vanessa Donegan.

The law firm has appointed Jeremy Parr as head of its corporate divisional practice, John Turnbull as regional managing partner for the Americas region and Marc Harvey as the new global head of the litigation practice.
Parr and Turnbull will both join the firm’s executive committee in their new roles.
The firm also said it had reappointed Robert Elliott and Tony Bugg as global heads of its banking and restructuring and insolvency practices respectively.
DTZ Holdings
The real estate advisory group has appointed Lorraine Baldry to the board as an independent non-executive director, effective immediately.
Baldry, 60, is a board member of the Olympic Delivery Authority.
She was previously chief executive of estate agency business Chesterton and held senior positions at insurer Prudential, investment bank Morgan Stanley and serviced office provider Regus. She was also formerly chairman of the London Thames Gateway Development Corporation and the Central London Partnership.
Legal & General Property
The real estate fund management business has hired Andrew Ferguson as fund manager for its £210m Leisure Fund Limited Partnership.
Ferguson has over 10 years of experience in the leisure and retail property sectors. He joins from Citygrove Securities, where he held the position of associate development director, responsible for new leisure and retail investments and developments on behalf of the likes of CBRE Investors and Close Investments.
Harvey Nash
The executive search group has launched a practice specifically focused on the oil and gas sector, to be headed up by Sherree Young.
Young has over nine years of experience in helping organisations of all sizes, from FTSE 100 companies to Aim-listed exploration and production firms, build leadership teams.
Rivington Street Holdings
The financial services group has appointed Jim Mellon as non-executive chairman following its proposed move of domicile to the Isle of Man.
Mellon is currently a director of the likes of Charlemagne Capital, Polo Resources and Speymill.
The firm also said Denham Eke, managing director of Burnbrae Group, will be joining the board as a non-executive director.
