Land Securities
The property group has appointed Robert Noel, 45, as managing director of its London portfolio, effective from next January.
Noel, who will also join the group’s board, has been property director at rival Great Portland Estates since 2002.
He also currently holds positions as chairman of the Westminster Property Association and as a non-executive director of the New West End Company.
PricewaterhouseCoopers
The accountancy firm has promoted David Adair to the role of head of community affairs, responsible for managing the firm’s links with community partners such as the Prince’s Trust and the Education Enterprise Trust.
Adair joined PwC in 2001, having previously worked for the National Association of Care and Resettlement of Offenders (NACRO) and established the Prince’s Trust team programme in Southwark and Lambeth.
Société Générale
The bank has hired Christophe Hioco as chief operating officer in its corporate and investment banking (CIB) division.
Based in Paris, Hioco will also be a member of the CIB restricted executive committee and of the group’s general management committee.
He started his career at JP Morgan, where he spent 28 years in a variety of roles, including as a chief operating officer for Asia and then Europe, before moving to McKinsey as a senior adviser.
Oakley Capital
Julita Tonkich has joined the fund of hedge funds manager as an investment analyst, responsible for supporting the portfolio managers on the Oakley Absolute Return Fund.
She joins from Millennium Global Investments, where she was involved in long/short and event-driven hedge fund research, and has also previously worked as an assistant fund manager at Margetts Fund Management.
Barlow Lyde and Gilbert
The law firm has hired Mark Sellers and Vicky Nunn to its real estate team from rival Field Fisher Waterhouse, as a partner and an associate respectively.
The pair specialise in public sector deals and regeneration projects, having had extensive experience of advising on property transactions designed to assist public sector bodies with re-organisations, the regeneration of sites and managing property portfolios.
Bell Yard
The litigation public relations firm has taken on Louise Beeson, formerly global head of corporate communications at investment bank Dresdner Kleinwort.
Prior to working at Dresdner, Beeson worked in professional services PR, holding positions at law firm White & Case and accountancy giant Arthur Andersen.
