Persimmon
The housebuilder has hired Jonathan Davie as a non-executive board director, effective from 1 January.
Davie, 63, is chairman of financial spread-betting firm IG Group, and is also currently a non-executive director of Portland Gas and chairman of First Avenue Partners.
He has previously held roles as vice chairman of Credit Suisse and chief executive of BZW Global Equities.
Barclays Wealth
The wealth management firm has appointed Roland Kitson as a director in its intermediaries business, reporting to Ian Burns, head of UK, Mediterranean and Europe for the firm.
Kitson has over 25 years of experience in the investment management industry and was a founding director of Close Investments.
Gas Turbine Efficiency
John Grant has agreed to become non-executive chairman at the proprietary cleantech systems firm.
Grant is an experienced director who spent his executive career in a variety of senior international roles within the engineering, electrical utility and automotive industries.
He has formerly held roles as head of corporate strategy at Ford in the US, deputy chairman of Jaguar, group finance director at Lucas Industries and chief executive of Ascot between 1997 and 2000.
Grant also served on the board of the National Grid for 11 years between 1995 and 2006.
E*Trade Financial
The online broker has named board member Robert Druskin as its new chairman and interim chief executive.
Druskin, 62, is due to step up to the roles when current chief executive Donald Layton leaves at the end of the year. A former chief operating officer at Citigroup, he has been on the firm’s board since February last year.
Royal DSM
The life sciences and materials sciences company yesterday said that Ton Trommelen, currently chief purchasing officer, will retire in February next year, to be succeeded by Tim Tolhurst.
Tolhurst joined the firm in November by Firmenich Group, where he was global vice president for purchasing and logistics. He has also previously worked for Mars, SmithKlineBeecham and Quest International.
Redrow
The housebuilder has announced that group finance director David Arnold will leave the company at the end of March next year, after seven years in the role. A search for his successor is underway.
Redrow chairman Steve Morgan said: “On behalf of the board I would like to express our thanks for his significant contribution and wish him every success in the future.”
