The Canary Wharf-based law firm said yesterday that Charis Damiano, previously a partner in its London office, will relocate to expand its employment practice in the United States.
Damiano recently returned from maternity leave, having worked at the employment and partnership law-focused firm since 2007.
She will now be a consultant in the US, developing relationships with core clients and law firms in the country.
Heritage Capital
The merchant banking arm of Banque Heritage has appointed Niels Nooy as a managing director and head of emerging markets trading for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.
Nooy most recently worked at credit derivatives broker Phoenix Partners, where he launched its emerging markets group after cutting his teeth at Merrill Lynch and ING Barings.
The firm has also hired Veronika Orekhovskaia, Michael Rimmell and Severine Carayon as directors.
Franklin Templeton
The investment group has hired Aman Gupta as a new research analyst for its deep-value investment platform, Mutual Series.
Gupta, who will specialise in healthcare, was previously a senior equity analyst and director at Evergreen Investments, covering the healthcare, consumer and industrial sectors.
Australia & New Zealand Bank
ANZ yesterday confirmed that John Morschel will succeed Charles Goode as group chairman on 1 March.
Goode, 71, has been in the chair at the firm for the past 14 years.
GFKL Financial Services
The claims management and software provider has appointed Christian Weber as its new finance director, after Tom Haverkamp was ousted due to “differences of opinion regarding the future strategy of the company”.
