The international law firm has appointed Tony Angel, chief executive of healthcare technology group Vantage Diagnostics, as a non-executive director. As managing partner of Linklaters from 1998 to 2007, Angel presided over a 57 per cent turnover increase and a 108 per cent profit increase. In 2008, he joined ratings agency Standard & Poor’s as executive managing director and head of EMEA, where he was responsible for more than 1,000 employees worldwide.
Northland Capital Partners
The full-service investment bank has appointed Tim Metcalfe as director of corporate finance in its London office. For the past seven years, Metcalfe has led Westhouse Securities’ London-based corporate finance team. Previously, he held positions at NM Rothschild and Robert Fleming & Co.
Cordea Savills
The property fund manager has appointed Nick Hayward as director of institutional business. Hayward joins from JP Morgan Asset Management, where he was a client portfolio manager for real assets in Europe.
Yorvik Partners
The debt broker-dealer has appointed Paolo Taddonio as chief executive. Taddonio, who joins the firm immediately, was previously head of fixed income, currencies and commodities for the Americas at Société Générale.

The law firm has appointed Maxim Telemtayev as executive partner in the firm’s office in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Telemtayev joins from Macleod Dixon, where he was managing partner for the law firm’s practice in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
MGM Advantage
The retirement income specialist has appointed Andrew Tully to the newly created role of retirement income technical manager. Tully joins from Standard Life, where he held the role of senior pensions policy manager.

The pensions law firm has promoted Claire van Rees to associate. Van Rees joined Sacker & Partners from Hogan Lovells in 2010 and has six years’ pensions experience.

The electronic foreign exchange platform has appointed Kevin Lupowitz as chief information officer. Lupowitz, who joins from Liquidnet, will be responsible for leading FXall’s technology strategy and creating opportunities for growth.
