Evolution
The financial services group has appointed Christopher Chambers as a non-executive director, effective immediately.
Chambers, 48, was previously chief executive of Man Investments and an executive director of Man Group until 2005, co-head of European equity capital markets at Credit Suisse First Boston and director of equity capital markets and corporate broking at BZW.
LaSalle
The real estate investment management firm has appointed Simon Marrison, who has led LaSalle’s business in continental Europe since 2001, as sole head of its business across Europe.
Marrison, a 23-year industry veteran, succeeds Charles Maudsley, who is leaving the firm to join British Land as director of business expansion.
Wesleyan Assurance
The financial services group has hired Keith Nicholson to its non-executive board of directors.
Nicholson has recently retired from his role as a partner at accountancy firm KPMG, where he has been heavily involved in working with FTSE 100 and other global retail financial services clients. He was also a member of the Auditing Practices Board for six years.
AREF
The Association of Real Estate Funds has appointed John Cartwright as its new chief executive, replacing outgoing boss Rachel McIsaac.
Cartwright joins from real estate investment management firm PRUPIM, where he was head of retail and institutional funds. He has 35 years of experience in property investment, including 20 years as a fund manager.
Foresight Group
Humberto Santillana has joined the alternative asset management company as an investment director in its solar team.
Santillana is a specialist in project financing, with a number of years experience in the solar and renewable energy sectors. He joins Foresight from Fotowatio in Spain, where he was a director in the acquisitions and financing department, specialising in solar PV and concentrating solar power (CSP) related transactions.
RBC Capital Markets
The corporate and investment banking arm of Royal Bank of Canada has hired Mike Bass as head of fixed income and currencies for Asia and Mark Otis Zownir as head of dollar rates trading for Asia.
Bass joins from Standard Chartered, where he was most recently head of commodities in Singapore, and also previously worked at HVB and Rabobank.
Zownir was latterly head of yen rates trading at Citigroup in Tokyo, having previously worked for the bank in SSA trading in New York and London.
