Kinsey Allen International
Sebastian Piggott has joined Kinsey Allen International (KAI), the global executive search firm, as a consultant. Piggott joins Kinsey Allen International’s fixed income practice to focus on senior sales and trading hires across credit, rates and foreign exchange. Piggott started his career in 1990 at Yamaichi International, and subsequently worked for Natwest Markets, The Royal Bank of Scotland and a specialist boutique. Piggott will report to Fraser Williams, global co-head of KAI’s fixed income practice.
Unicredit
Christian Steffens and Marco Bales have been appointed as global co-heads of capital markets at Unicredit, reporting to Mike Hammond and TJ Lim, global co-heads of markets. Steffens and Bales will retain their current roles as head of equity capital markets and head of capital markets Financial Institution Group/Public Sector, respectively, alongside their new responsibilities.
Cape
The oilfields services company has appointed Tim Eggar as non-executive chairman. Eggar had a distinguished parliamentary career from 1979 to 1997, including the position of minister for energy from 1992 to 1996. He has also held the roles of global head of integrated energy corporate finance at ABN AMRO, chief executive of Monument Oil and Gas, chairman of Harrison Lovegrove, chairman of Indago Petroleum and chairman of Nitol Solar.
Evolution Securities
The investment bank has appointed Alexander Garton as director of corporate broking. Garton, who will start his new job on 11 April, was formerly a director at RBS Hoare Govett and specialises in fundraising for and advising mid-cap corporates.
Omni Capital
The property finance company has appointed Liz Jones, the frontrunner from BBC’s hit TV show The Apprentice, as business development director. Jones, who famously received an apology from Lord Sugar following her departure from the show, has worked for UBS investment bank and the private wealth arm of Deustche Bank.
Traiana
The post-trade solutions firm has appointed Gerard Varjacques as chief operating officer. Based in New York, Varjacques will be responsible for scaling Traiana’s operations globally and will report to chief executive Gil Mandelzis.
