Barclays Wealth
Solomon Soquar (pictured) has joined the asset manager as head of the strategic solutions group, which is a core part of its ultra-high net worth operation. He will report to Stefanie Drews. Soquar joins the firm from Citi Private Bank, where he was in capital markets. Previously, he has worked at Merrill Lynch as head of distribution for the bank’s private clients, Goldman Sachs in corporate finance and Bankers Trust in capital markets.
Panmure Gordon
Charlie Leigh-Pemberton will be joining as a corporate broking associate at the firm, effective 14 March. His most recent job has been at Finsbury PR for the last three years, where he advised a broad section of FTSE 250 clients. He has also previously worked at Pricewaterhouse.
AXA
The Chinese division of the French insurer AXA Group , has appointed Angela Chui as chief financial officer and Isabel Lam as chief strategic management officer of AXA Hong Kong.
The company has also appointed Alger Fung as member of the executive committee.
All three have been promoted from within the firm.
Saffery Champness
The accountancy firm has named Frederic Larquetoux as senior manager in the firm’s business advisory group. He was previously with Ernst & Young.
Marsh
David Bidmead has been promoted to be the chief executive of Marsh US, a newly created role at the firm.
He moves to the job from his role as leader of its US west zone, and has previously been chief executive of Marsh Australia and region head of Marsh Pacific. In his new role, he will be in charge of guiding Marsh’s retail brokerage operations and will report to Joe McSweeny.
Citigroup
The financial services company has appointed Antonio Miras as global head of electronic execution for listed derivatives, a newly created position in the company.
Miras has previously worked at JP Morgan for more than a decade.
